Never watched Pointless but used to listen to Vine's lunchtime radio show. I stopped listening some years ago. Tried his TV programme - once was enough

I like pointless!!!! I don't like Vine.

Vine was tolerable until he went on 'Strictly'. Then his ego took full control of his mind.

Pointless was okay for the first few months then it became so-so. Like most quiz shows do after a while. I used to watch them all but the only one i regularly watch these days is Mstermind. I've even neglected the gorgeous Victoria Cohen-Mitchell - neglected, not totally abandoned.

And how about The Apprentice, Dragons Den, Britains Got Talent?

The Apprentice, etc I agree its all getting

a bit mundane.

Yes

Stopped following them years ago  😩

I have been watching Mastermind this series, when did the studio audience disappear?

Jeremy Vine replaced Jimmy Young on the lunchtime radio show. I always felt Young was very good at refereeing debates (he claims he got lots of criticism for being biased, but equal amounts from both sides of the argument). He also had regular "experts" on - one was a legal expert which I used to like listening to. Vine seemed to stop all that and it wasn't long before I gave up to listening to him.

I guess Covid was the end of studio audiences for many shows, both TV and radio.
