so many ways dot but listening to my sons crap, sorry rap music, i.e 50cent, does it to me. I feel like my Dad when i start about that dreadful row! He never gave us a break when top of the pops was on way back in the 70's! Also hearing all the re-mixes of tracks i remember the first time round and my son looking at me like dirt when i say they've ruined a blody good song! I could go on all night really but i wont!
Metz, i used to do that every sunday night with radio 1 top 20 as it was then 6 till 7,with my tape recorder perched between the 2 stereo speakers, waiting anxiously for the next record you wanted to tape, trying to avoid the dj butting in on the intro and at the end, fingers poised, then my Dad would walk in calling the dog, or you'd get that awful squealing from the radio! I think i still have one of those tapes somewhere. memories!
My daughters didn't know what an "album" was, and they look at me like I'm mad when I talk about buying singles on vinyl for 50p.
I remember our house being one of the first in the street to have a colour TV. And the excitement of Ch 4 starting.
Also going to Saturday Matinee at the pictures for a sixpence. (Now I'm really showing my age!)
