The spear shaft, probably.  The metal head could still be somewhere.

That would have disintegrated too.

"No.  It would have disintegrated long ago."

Or would it?

Carry on now.

No, it hasn't disintegrated, Naomi. I've seen it on sale on ebay.

I think they were found in rock.

I believe that Ken.  :o)

the spear was provided by aliens and it's made of adamantium.

naomi;

There's plenty of them around ;

Adamantium disintegrates like puff candy, Tora, leaving no trace, according to local metalurgists and polymaths.

And those are clearly facsimilies, Khandro, to fool the easily persuaded. 😉

Khandro, I know there are plenty around but I think it's all about whether or not the metal has been protected from the elements.

No, no idea.  Obviously I've heard of the stone of destiny.

Yes

I think most will have heard of it and know it's some kind of mythical spear. But like myself, would need to check details. Turns out that one is from Christianity, and related to JC.

Ephesians 6:16 "Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked."
While the spear of destiny sounds poetic, it can only pale in significance to the javelin of believing, which outdistances all adversarial darts.

I agree wth Sarmy - I thought it had metaphorical meaning ( the spear travels thro history, unifying chrisitan doctrine)

and thanks sarmy for a NT quote which  is ( well Pauline, and is  it pastoral ?) rather then the usual re-used crap we get

Who or what is Sarmy and from where did you get that (rather good) quote ?
