The final shot of episode 2.

How on earth was this achieved???

If anyone who works (or worked) in drama can tell me how that was done, I'd be soooo grateful as it's caused no end of arguments at home (in other words, I know I'm right - I just need backups).

Not giving away any spoilers but watch for the bit where Bascombe (Ashley Walters) is in the car with his son.

You'll hear a school choir singing a cover of the Sting song "Fragile" and then...I don't know how they achieved the next 60 seconds.

My brain is fried.

It's at the end of the episode.

Ok, sp. I probably won't be able to elucidate you but I'll certainly watch it.

Episode 1 was so powerful. I hope the series keeps up the momentum but I know there will be no happy ending.

I adore Stephen Graham and the boy's not bad either.😀

Started this today too. Seen two eps. Very sad.

Yeah...okay definitely a drone, but how could they start the scene witn a close-up on the car and end with a close up on Stephen Graham???

There's a bit where the picture shot wobbles a few seconds after the police car bit and I reckon this is where a drone (say) sitting on a gimble takes off...but there's no corresponding "jiggy" at the other end.

It's an astonishing bit of telly. The child actors should all go on to bigger things.

...also Stephen Graham is like the male Sarah Lancashire - only ever appears in top quality telly.

Thank you scorpiojo!!!

You are welcome.

Stunning, harrowing, thought-provoking series.

The camera-work complemented the claustrophobic atmosphere, tight and controlled with not a wasted moment or jarring cutaway.

It ought to win a hatful of awards.

Stephen Graham is always well worth watching.

Agreed, although we're only up to episode two at the moment.

Absolutely faultless.

Apparently there's a "wipe" in the second episode so they cheated on the single shot thing but whatever - it's still an astonshing feat.

Clear the mantlepiece for the inevitable BAFTAs next year.

You star.

Happily this is exactly what I guessed (but was shouted down).

This is a good day.

Enjoy your BA!

You're welcome. 😁
