Hobbies/Sport You Could Never Do

I can't understand why anyone goes potholing. I've been in plenty of 'touristy' caves and tunnels but would not squeeze myself in to the unknown.

Rock climbing. Scrambled over a few rocks up peaks on long hikes, but climb up a sheer face? Not on your nelly.

Hockey, lacrosse, hurling. Don't mind contact sport, used to enjoy rugby, but not with weapons and hard little balls.

Gliding. I can see the appeal of silently flying over the countryside - but I've sat squashed in those flimsy oversized model planes. That's enough

I wouldn't do rock climbing - don't like heights - and I wouldn't do potholing or caving - don't like enclosed spaces.  Apart from that I think those sorts of pursuits all too often put others lives at risk - the rescuers especially.

I admire people who do extraordinary things like sail round the world in a ridiculously small boat single handed, or do a solo expedition to the north pole.

I suppose they feel the thril and rejoice in the test of character.

I loved riding and jumping in my younger years - now since a bad fall I prefer a gentle hack.

I used to do a lot of horse riding with my sister, all my children took to it. I stopped when I got too heavy, didn't fancy carrying the horse back.

I like riding.  I rarely do it though despite having a friend who owns stables.

Bungee jumping, skydiving, paragliding, in fact anything that involves height.  Only exception is hill walking which I love.
