This isn't a very encouraging review - but reviews are sometimes misleading.  Has anyone watched it?

My pleasure.

I watched the first two episodes.  Not just straightforward games but challenges too.  Quite entertaining.

Ahh this was the the thread I was thinking of, not too far back:

Chess doesn't really work on TV and it especially doesn't work in a 30 min programme most of which isn't actual games of chess

I have watched it, I like it. Chess on TV excellent! :O)

I think it's mentioned in the introduction to the first programme, not been on - the BBC I assume for 30 years or so? Does anyone remember Chess on TV more recently?
