Apparently there are a number of events taking place across the country today to mark 5 years since the declaration of the pandemic – these include church services in Wolverhampton (remembering those who lost their lives, and to pay tribute to front line workers and volunteers who played crucial role).
Surely the most appropriate event to mark such a day (which would resonate with the general population) would be to hold a party in 10 Downing Street.

Why China failed to react responsibly ? Why the WHO cosied up to China's ludicrous stories of how it didn't come from their lab ? How untested vaccines rushed out were and how at least one has since been withdrawn ?
I think I've reflected on the appaling state of everyone and everything enough already. No point in reminding myself how appalling the human race is any more. Illusions shattered, one may as well just let it all go.
Despite being vaccinated (including booster jabs), I still caught covid.
I recall the Johnson government telling people that they must not socialise, or visit their dying relatives, or attend funerals for loved ones etc – whilst all the time, Johnson & co were partying away in 10 Downing Street.
On the days I did attend work, there was a strict 2 metre separation rule with mandatory mask wearing – compare that with the videos released on Johnson partying away (glass in hand) standing close to others in Downing Street.
I wouldn’t object (to Johnson’s behaviour), if at the time of placing the restrictions on the whole of the UK population, he added a caveat; that obviously the restrictions didn’t apply to him (and his cronies).
