Peoples Names You Can't Shorten
ChatterBank83 mins ago
Morning everyone. After picking up the GMEB thread quite a while ago I thought I'd ask - what would help to make it more popular, or get more people to join in?? It's often that I start the morning post & maybe just one person comments, maybe two. On a really good day we could get 6 or 7. Is the trick for me to ask random questions on what colour top I should wear to the pub this evening, as I see that these kind of posts can easily get 300 comments! Please enlighten me guys. As I feel quite disheartened in this at the moment.......
Anyway, for those that are about it's a damp morning - with little sign of any sun but hey ho! Today I will be trying, and hopefully succeeding, in getting into my laptop. I haven't used it for a couple of years, but was brand new when I got it. I've powered it up late lastnight and left it to charge, it's obv asking for password which I haven't a clue....... so I'll start that game this morning,
Hope that you all have a great day everyone xx

You're doing a grand job, smow, I rely on it for telling me fthe day of the week :)
I'm sure it gets plenty of looks and non-posters will wave but not comment for a variety of reasons, we don't bite unless you ask nicely!!
Paddy would look in and just say Morning, which was nice.
Keep on going smow, if you want to xx
Morning all. I'm another late starter, almost always pop online well after 10am. So I'll look here but not post. And, if I don't see the thread, I'll worry about you, Smow as I know you have health issues. I think referring to this as an all day chat or natter thread might be a good idea...and entice us late birds to contribute.
I've got my usual Sunday of laundry and cleaning. Plus as it's a half price electric day, it's my day to use the high speed blenders...I'll be making mayo, and sunflower seed butter. That takes about 20 minutes of on/off blasting 😆
Actually I've got a fair amount of tidying to do this week as daughter and her partner are arriving late Friday. My stiff knees and back means I put off tasks so now it's catch-up.
I must look into Vinted/Vintage...I've got a load of Scottish Miracle jewellery that I've been thinking of selling some of...also Pilgrim.
The sun is shining, I'm about to get my first coffee and get on with things. Have a good day all.
Morning all. An all day thread would be good. I am up at 6.30 to let the first lot of dogs out and feed the cats, then back to bed. Seem to have a really deep sleep second time around. We have had rain and cold winds for the last two weeks, even with sun today the wind makes it about 9c. My freesias are flowering and frogs croaking. Keep on smow AB needs non controversial threads
Something which has just occurred to me Smow - some of the threads which clock up 300 comments run for some considerable time to achieve this.
Topics raised in GMEB sometimes comtinue over lots of daily threads.
By its very nature a GMEB thread cuts at 24 hours and any long term discussion picks up again in the subsequent day's thread.
So you're never likely to achieve 300 in a single thread even although a particular subject may well do so eventually.
