A nice story.

Have you ever reunited with someone from your past? And if so, were you pleased or disappointed?

He was widowed , I was divorced and although we didnt live together it was the hapoiest of times for both of us. He was truly the love of my life. Sadly he recently died. But I - and also my family loved him dearly. He was that uncommon thing - a gentleman. So many people have said that to me.
You were so fortunate Rosie. I am in much the same position as you were - we met 20 years ago. OH is now ill - and we fight for every single day together. (PS He's doing OK).
I empathise more than I can say - a gentleman. I am so frightened to face losing him, but know that I (like you) have been fortunate.
Love, Jourdain2 x
oh and.... ( member of the family) - is it true your father ( GP) told the headmaster that the girl ( caroline bonka to be exact) was pregnant by the maths master ?
( why that doesnt add up - one and one makes three etc)
no - she had a bump that stuck out at school assemby if you remember
oh well, we thought.... things ( 40 y reunion) to keep away from.
I am with Buenchico - ( long memory again) three instances of a complete stragger adressing me - - - - that man over there says you were at school with him , do you want to speak to him?
(kicked around and bullied)
Smow - Mr BM and I split up in the late 1980s and it was in the days without mobiles and social media etc. We both moved on. We never saw each other or spoke again.
Then in late 2016, I had separated from a long term partner in what was a difficult relationship and had arrangements to leave. I happened to see Mr BM crop up on the local FB page for the area I was living in at the time and I wondered if it was "him". So I sent him a message asking if he was that person who I had known all those years before. That was on 28 December. We talked a lot over the following few days, Turned out he was living only 500 yards from me. We met on 5 January and the years rolled away. I left the area in early Feb but we kept in touch and saw each other regularly. On Christmas Day he proposed (having been and asked my Dad - which he said was the scariest thing he had ever done. Dad looked at Mum who said "Don't ask me, in any event, she's just going to do precisely as she wishes".
He is arguably the most annoying and irritating person I have ever met. But he is my best friend.
Awww BM that's a fab story! I can't believe that after all those years you find out he been living only 500 metres away - you'd probably passed him in the street or local shops before! They say love finds a way tho don't they. I didn't meet MrSmow till I was 38. And I was a divorced mum living with just my kids. He was living with his partner..... long story but we are still together x
Mr BM is also highly intelligent. I used to go and see his Dad (his dad lived half way between my house and his house so I used to pop in on my way past) and he once said to me that he was glad that at last he had met someone bright enough to deal with him and then winked at me. His bloody father knew what an irritant he could be!
