...of vanishing from the face of the earth than it is now?

Russia, China, most of the Islamic world, and even a member country of the EU, have can't regard for it.

In much of the west the barbarians aren't at the gates, they're among us, ( a 5th Column undermining the fabric of our democratic system.

sandyRoe, I think you've read reports of that very selectively.

Do other people on AB read ( the  er remaining posts allowed by the great and good) - -  and roar  with laughter ?

"read selectively" - right o !

There are other reports, sandyRoe, that don't come from him.

you're going for oblivion......

(say in sing songy voice of " I have see it all before" ) - donald duck if  you can manage it

Naomi24

I'm sure Zionist supporting news outlets would have a different take on the incident.

But then, they would, wouldn't they?

Peter Pedant, you have been suspended more than once for continual mod-bashing and you have been asked more than once to stop.  If your posts are removed you only have yourself to blame.  Now either join the discussions in a sensible manner or carry on and have the weekend off.  Your choice.

But then again sandyRoe,  some publications take a balanced view.  You could try reading them.

Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Presumably you mean the power of the left wing press.

It was always safe when America was championing it, but with the current administration showing no interest in it and making moves to turn the US into a Putin style oligarchy, it's definitely under threat.

People don't seem to want it though. That's the funny thing about democracy. You can vote to get rid of it if you want.

tomus42, trump is draining the boil of woke from america, all that trans insidious creeping into the school agenda and sports, removing 200yr old invisible people on state pensions, should do similar here with quango's and the migrant lawyers and judges.. don't you think so..

Question Author

Draining the swamp at long last?

I'd like to see evidence of the descendants of long dead Americans claiming their pensions, or other benefits.

It's impossible to tell if you're serious or not fender, given that there are lots of people that would say that and actually mean it. Satire is dead I'm afraid.

Now either join the discussions in a sensible manner or carry on and have the weekend off.  Your choice.

threat received cherie

I promise to be a good boy and support only one side ( the right side of course) of the argument

er my doing the week end  is YOUR choice innit -just  saying miss justnsaying....

Satire is dead I'm afraid.

no  - ignored I think

Question Author

I think 20:36 is nicely ironic.

sandyRoe,Hamdan Ballal cries he thought he was going to die,but walks out of the prison gates, unlike the hostages returned in coffins.

Question Author

fripfrip

I'm sure you know that the hostages were mostly killed by Israeli bombs.

Three young men who had escaped from their captors were shot dead by IDF soldiers as they sought sanctuary.

Hamas didn't want the hostages dead.  They wanted to swap them for people the Israelis hold.

So did the serious question get derailed, oh my! mon dieu but naomi24 please do enlighten us with the " 'some publications' take a balanced view.  You could try reading them." so we can judge.

As for Peter

'Satire is dead I'm afraid, no  - ignored I think'

It appears satire no longer has the power it once had.. actually a weekend off sound like a good idea.. (sarcasm that's not dead!).
