Grey & dull here, but hoping that it brightens. Busy day today - priority is ringing vet as soon as it opens to try and get my Molly (3yr old cat) an appointment. She was limping with her front right paw, but seemed happy enough, & thought maybe she's just done one of her daft jumps and landed awkwardly, but lastnight she started to hop on it when walking (won't put that paw down at all) so clearly it hurts too much. Fingers crossed it's nothing serious. Then at 9.30am(unless vet gives me an app at that time) I have the guy arriving to measure my bathroom windows as he will be fitting blinds in there. Just need to measure, then choose them. It's such a sun trap that in summer it's broad daylight in there 4.30am! Plus it would just look nicer with something on the windows. Then usual Friday supermarket shopping this afternoon(again depends on cat), plus so,e work.

So what does everyone else's Friday have in store?x

Good morning smow, good luck with Molly.
Well I am still in bed unusually but Islay is snuggled up to me and I didn't like to move her but I need to move in the next 5 mins.

I need to get some shopping in too other than that a wee bit of gardening is on the cards.

Alll she's doing well then? I think Molly got some kind of sore - I can see a teeny area on the side of her paw. x

She is doing a lot better, the limp has nearly gone and she is not licking it anywhere near as much and when she was sleeping I managed to get a look at her paw and it looks better already.

Unusual for cats to get a sore patch on their paws - I wonder if its an allergy - let us know what the vet says.

*Awwww.

Have managed to get vet appointment for this afternoon.

Good morning, hope both your precious pets get better quickly, I remember those days fretting over the slightest thing.

The sun is shining, and forecast is for a good day. I have done so much cutting back of bushes that I have run out of room in the bin, so will have to wait to Wednesday collection when it will probably be immediately filled again.

Right off for my shower, have a good day all.

Good Morning and it's a sunny one again. Good that you managed to get an appt for Molly - keep us posted. X

Morning.  I've got a busy day workwise.  I'd rather be out in the garden though.  I put some cream on to clot in the Instant pot last night and i still have another 2 hours to wait to see how it comes out!  Checking the timer every 5 minutes will not make it go any quicker!!!!

I am sure Molly cat will be OK.  It may not be her paw, it could be an abscess on her lower leg.  I say this because every single time ASBO developed a limp it was because he had been punching above his weight and got himself an abscess as a result of a scrapping injury.  Getting antiobiotics into him was the devil's own job - you almost needed full body armour!

My cleaner is here just now.  When she's finished I'll go to the local shop to buy the makings of breakfast, eggs and bread.

Later I'll do a bit of on-line shopping with Tesco.

Maybe around lunchtime I'll go to the local cafe for an omelette.

Apart from the above I've nothing else to do.

I might have a nap in the afternoon.  It's all go here.

Good morning Smow and everyone. I can't imagine oneself or any bloke getting away with a title...
'Good morning Friday Birds'... they'd be uproar 😉

PLeased about Cats doing well, when housesitting I have enough emergency no.s to cater for every eventuality suprised the HMCG isn't on the list even though about 30 miles inland. (Usually six cats one dog)

Oneself, just Computer stuff nice and simple easy day, nice and sunny oop here in West Yorkshire a bit on the cool side still but heading towards my 'Goldilocks zone'.

Have a lovely day folks whatever she may bring you.

Good  morning everybody. It was raining when I got up but has stopped now, and the sky is turning blue. Rain has left the car covered with dust - they must be dirty rain!! Will look at the forecast before I attempt to clean it.

House jobs and paperwork for me today. Might even summon up the energy to clean upstairs inside windows.

Morning all. It rained here overnight and the garden needed it. Its sunny now so ideal weed growing weather lol. We have a food delivery later then general pottering and housework.

Hope the pets recover quickly DDIL and Smow. My pooch is flat out after his walk so peace reigns.

Have a happy day everyone

Just gone to check on Molly & she's sat on top of the garden fence! Managed to get her down, she's still hopping and holding paw in the air but can't be in that much pain to have got up there!

Please let us know how the vet visit goes please Smow.  Poor pussy, if only they could talk eh?

It's Iffy here in Hove at the moment weatherwise.  Can't quite make up its mind.

Oh, it's still morning...so a good one to all. It's on sunny side here and may even be spring like. Daughter and her partner are down later...well actually late...as they won't head out of London until 6-7 pm when the traffic isn't too bad.

I've done their bed, done the stinky cat's trays, put some laundry on...and am now having first coffee...sighhhhh.

I hope the furries all improve...do let us know how the vet visit goes Smow.

Any news about the pussy cats?

UPDATE ON MOLLY.

Just got back from the vets, and it seems that Molly has been bitten/attacked, probably by another cat. She has an open raw wound on her front right paw, which was hidden by the fur. It was when the vet gently shaved the area that we suspected was the pain that she found it. No skin there to stitch it closed. So she's had antibiotics & painkillers injections, more antibiotics to take at home. She's also given her a cone to wear, which she will wriggle out of in about 10 mins, but I can try. Anyway, no wonder she was limping as it looks so so sore : (

Poor Molly, you certainly did the right thing getting her to the vet.  Good luck in getting the antibiotics in her, hope they work quickly and she is soon pain free.

Awww poor Molly.  But painkillers will help her feel a bit better (thank goodness for Metacam).  She'll soon be on the mend though.

If she wriggles out of her cone, try getting a large paper plate and cutting a hole in it and putting that round her neck.  They are absolute *** when they are poorly.

Poor molly, how about the inflatable collar, I use one on my mogs in the past and it's better imo than the cone

Poor Molly but at least you know the reason for her limping - I remember when Mitzi had a cone fitted and Vet said to keep her quiet - last seen struggling through the fence, cone off and she was racing up the field in her normal way!  I'm sure Molly will soon be back to her usual self 😸x
