Its common practice at many airports. I have travelled with grandchildre and their friends and always have parental consent letters. Grandchildren have often beem asked who I am. There is nothing creepy about it

He wasn't happy about the way his children were spoken to.  I don't know if he's justified or not.   I wasn't there - but for what it's worth I think he's handsome.  Love him in the lighthearted films - and he was very good in a television series playing a serious role as  husband to Nicole Kidman.  Forgotten the title.
