Local Grooming Gang Reviews Will Go Ahead, Says Cooper

//Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has insisted local inquiries into grooming gangs in five towns are still going ahead despite claims the plans have been watered down.

In January, Cooper announced a three-month rapid review into the issue, as well as five local inquiries - but has only named the location for one, in Oldham.

Sir Trevor Phillips, former chairman of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, has claimed the government is not naming locations for "obviously political" reasons, because of the "demographic of people involved".//

Will the outcome will be published honestly?

Smoke and Mirrors.

It always amazes me that people are prepared to ignore child rape to not appear racists.

But of course now with our excellent two-tier justice system, anyone of an ethnic minority who is found guilty will no doubt get a lighter sentence.

Not about not appearing racist, it's about votes.

Very short-term thinking by the lickspittle politicians.

They'll lose all those votes when the Islamists form their own political party.

That would be the 'short-term' part.

I was thinking about the patrons of AB, douglas.

And I was replying to davebro3.

I doubt it, Labour love Islam, bunch of snollygosters!

Odd, he hadn't posted when you said 'Not about not appearing racist,' douglas.

That's  how it works. I have to wait for a comment so I can reply

Wonder why the previous Tory government implemented only a very few of the last inquiry’s recommendations – and that the role of women and equalities minister in that government was held by one Kemi Badenoch.

Weird.

labour and the tories probably just want this story to go away i think the rot runs so deeply in various depts of and down the country, how to handle it with out a melt down, and is it still happening..

I think governments in general want a lot of stuff (boat crossings?) to "just go away". Unfortunately (for them) they pitched in with proposed solutions and got folks to vote them into power. NOW DEAL WITH IT YOU IDIOTS!
