Vodafone
Just received a text from Vodafone (07919 829403) according to the 'who called me' site.
The thing is it then goes on to say, it's from the department for works and pensions (DWP) subsidy application reminder.
As of today, you have not submitted a subsidy application for 2024-2025. Please complete your application by 11 April 2025 and eligible applicants will receive between £200 and £300 of subsidy. Late applications will be automatically closed.
It then asks me to click on a https link.
So my questions are, how's a Vodafone number connected to the DWP? And as it's a https link can it still be unsafe?
In short, do you reckon it's a scam.

My screen then informed me i had a mossed call from Vodafone. the number to call back was +44 331 630 9462. Course i haven't called back and nor will i be.
I have Vodafone broadband and when they want to get in touch, they send me emails, not texts.

No you didn't. All that who-called.co.uk is saying is that the number you got a text from is 'owned' by Vodafone. Ofcom allocates blocks of phone numbers to each mobile service provider. Your own mobile number, for example, is 'owned' by whichever phone service provider that you originally got it from (even if you've subsequently ported it across to a different provider).
