Electric Weed Burner

Has anyone got one of these and what are they like please. Can't get down on hands and knees any more, or more to the point can't get back up 😂

We tried a gas weed burner and didn't like it. I seem to remember you had to hold the trigger on all the time you are burning a weed (safety), which you could find difficult if you have arthritis.

bhg, That doesn't apply to mine. It has a Piezoelectric lighter. To operate, turn the knob to start the gas flow, press the piezo button & it ignites the flame & simple turn the knob to turn it off.

Totally agree Khandro.  We've just bought a gas weed burner.  There's loads on Amazon and they are dead cheap and simple to use.  My husband had no trouble with it at all and he has arthritis in his hands.  Certainly does the job easily along our paths and paving slabs. You won't regret getting one.

I have a gas one. Have difficulty screwing the new canister in. Also, never clear if one simply has to wilt the foliage or tirn it to black or white ash.

In these days of weak weedkiller it's difficult to get an effective arsenal against weeds any more.

i have your problem with getting up so i had the garden slabbed around the lawn and have lots of pots ,so much easier to weed x

Funny you should say that Mally. I have narrow borders of pea shingle around the lawn and did think about making that a lot wider and putting more pots around 🤔

i chose big pots so there isn't a lot of bending x
