Morning guys - rained in the night here, woke up & it's still raining &pretty dark n dull. Looks like it might be in for the day but you never know!
Got back from Devon yesterday afternoon - was wonderful seeing Youngsmow, his gf & of course, baby Theo. Didn't go quite to plan tho - on journey down YS messaged me & said Theo wasn't himself & kept crying. Said he'd been like that on & off for a day or so. He took him to the doc whilst we were still on way & he was given anti-biotics. Said glands were slightly up & had slight temp. Long story short, we saw them for half hr that eve, most of sat,& 20 mins yesterday am. Theo def wasn't his usual self & just kept crying & crying, unless he was being walked in pram lol. Would barely eat or drink too, so YS was getting very stressed too. Think in general it was a whole combo of gland & teething badly.
Apartment we stayed in was fab - so well equipped with absolutely everything you could think of that you mite need. Would 100% stay there again.
Bit of an atmosphere Sat eve - in-laws & hubby were drinking(I don't mean drunk, just that they'd all been drinking wine all evening). FIL came out with something about he hadnt enjoyed the day, & I said what do you mean, have I missed something? All got taken out of context and resulted in nobody speaking to me for rest of eve! 🤣🤣🤣 All was forgotten by morning but oh the joys of drink hey!
Hope you've all got a good day planned! X

Hopefully FIL only meant that with baby so unwell he didn't have the type of day with them that he had hoped for.
Rained during the night here and still very grey and damp with more forecast to come later. Not sure what I will be doing today, itching to get out in the garden with loppers and secateurs.
Morning CJ & ubasses. Yes I'd have like to sneak in 20 mins in garden today inbetween work but not sure that's gona happen - skies look full of the wet stuff!
FIL is a wonderful man, as is hubby, and also my MIL I adore, but the combo of 3 people drinking & one person who isnt(me) is dangerous lol! They feel more free to say things, and I'm more stone cold sober to react lol. Bedtime late sat was MrSmow trying to get his socks off after god knows how many glasses of wine, whilst telling me that I was a drama Queen and I'd spoilt the weekend. Me being like a dog with a bone was insisting on asking him what on earth I was meant to have done(yes stupid I know lol). All ok sun morn, god I don't miss drinking one little bit!
Good morning Smow and everyone. Rained overnight here and is still cloudy and chilly. Glad you had a good visit in the main, and by the sound of it you are feeling much better.
Got the fire brigade coming tomorrow evening to fix smoke alarms indoors, which they do for free. This is a good idea, and they did it when I first moved in here 15years ago, but they need replacing. I have got carbon monoxide alarms also,(at my gas engineers insistance). I must admit I am not organised about testing them like you are supposed to do every 6 weeks or so.
FAO ubasses: If you have not already got a weed brush I went into Home Bargains yesterday and they had long handled ones on sale for £3.
Nothing much planned for today, I did my outdoor jobs yesterday, including shopping as I thought we were getting rain today. Still there is always plenty of little jobs to do around the house. Enjoy the day everyone.
Morning Smow and other ABers. Was OK when I got up but then received a message from my dog walker saying she was at the vet hospital with her own dog so couldn't walk mine today. Sugar! I hope her little chap is OK of course but I am stuck now for a walker for mine. Big Sigh!
So pleased to see we had rain over night my plant pots certainly needed it.
Sorry to see my advice to not use a weed brush is being ignored even though.
Late good morning Smow and all. It's a shame when family visits go a bit pear shaped...good that all is forgotten. Just keep remembering baby cuddles...they make the bad bits go away.
Going nowhere today...it's chilly and very, very wet. I had a Waitrose delivery yesterday and have a few bits coming from Amazon later. It's nice getting goodies...breaks up the monotony of being stuck indoors.
