I'm late on parade with this. I've watched a few episodes and quite liking it but I have to question one of the sex scenes in particular - featuring two gay men.  This is supposed to be a light-hearted comedy type programme so scenes like that are, in my opinion, utterly gratuitous.  Just over the top and completely unnecessary.  I'm just hoping there won't be a repeat.  It made me feel sick.

Has anyone else watched it?

I don't care who is having sex, I think it's all gratuitous. I'm not uncomfortable with sex scenes on TV but they do nothing for me. Same as watching close ups of people eating. Not something I'd choose to watch in real life.

Unless it is central to the storyline, leave it out

I enjoyed the first two series because Jennifer Coolidge was funny but haven't seen the third one.  I think it's showing on a platform that I don't subscribe to.

Not sure which season you mean, here is lots of sex and nudity in all 3 seasons. I have never found it gratuitous. It is a characater study and every scene teaches me something about the characters involved.

If it makes you uncomfortable I'd avoid season 3! 😊

I've only just started watching it, chelle.  Three or four episodes into Series 1.  I didn't consider the scene with the two gays educational.  I knew they were gay - the action, although very short lived,  was surplus to requirements.

Overt and intrusive homosexuality seems to be included in the terms and conditions for getting stuff on telly these days.

I think it's called normalisation.

I think it was used to emphasise the fact that the two men were not who they said they were and that they are definitely not uncle and nephew.

Perhaps it was a bit too much. I certainly didn't enjoy watching it, or any sex on screen.
