If you won a prize for cosmetic surgery on one part of your body of your choice, with a top surgeon, would you?

If so, what would you have done?

I wouldn't. I have an eye lid lift last year due to severe psosis interfering with my vision.  I am very happy with the results - no more headaches and eyestrain, the world is a lot brighter.

Nobody has noticed. I can see a big difference when I look in the mirror, my eyes are not quite the shape they were before ptosis, but nobody has noticed the baggy, saggy eyelids have gone.

I'm no Adonis but I've always been happy in my skin.

Not cosmetic surgery, I'm happy with what I've got. If it was for medical reasons, I'd think about it.

I'm already stunningly handsome and perfect. So no!

Seriously I've never seen an example of cosmetic surgery for vanity that has improved the looks of someone.

Nor me, TTT, some of the most attractive people are 'quirky' looking.

The list is too long!

If surgery would cure my scalp psoriasis, I'd take it, I hate that every day.

Yes I would and its extensive

TTT - A female relative has had a perceived imperfection corrected, and it has improved her appearance, and she is delighted.

I thought she was beautiful before, but entire cosmetic surgery industry is based on what people see in themselves, not what others see.

One of the ones that has really dissapointed me lately is Myleene Klass. Classic beauty,  now she's had something done and her boat is all wrong now.

It's a bit like a syrup I suppose if it's so good I can't tell then great and maybe there are thousands of people walking about with invisible cosmetic changes but somehow I doubt it. Seen too many examples of ruined looks. The sad thing is that the people actually paid someone to deface them like that.

Not at the moment but I might put it on hold for something that might need a bit of help at sometime in the future.  I have friends who've had cosmetic surgery - all of it superb.

TTT - It's all about self-image. A lot of extreme surgery appears to make the recipient happier, even if the wider world ponders the result.

Actually I said all the surgery my friends have had is superb but one had a boob job - and boy, is she top heavy now!  On a slender body it looks a bit odd - but she's delighted as is her husband - so that's all that counts really.

Unless a woman has had mastectomy or some such I can't understand the desire to undergo that operation and live with two falsies under the skin.

Women can be incredibly appealing with smaller boobs, like Danni from A Place in the Sun

She had what she called 'two fried eggs' before.  She's really pleased with her new look.

I would,  boob reduction,  and maybe a tidy up of my jawline. Being top heavy in my late 60s seems a bit pointless

Question Author

Do you get back ache or other problems, rowan?

No.  I hate hospitals and doctors and needles etc and would not put myself through  something that would give me anxiety.  Particularly when I need far more than one bit doing!!!

Question Author

That's the problem, isn't it?  It could be like putting a new carpet in the living room but not decorating or changing the curtains

I have a terrible mind, Barry.  I read that and burst out laughing.

Like barmaid, the thought of unneeded and unnecessary surgey gets a no from me. Except for a periods of a bit of excess weight, I've always been content with what I've got. And, I wasn't comfortable with bigger boobs after having a baby...I wanted them back to normal.

Question Author

Being content with yourself is a great gift.

Question Author

Barmaid, you are a one 😂
