I can see the criminal part, but not the removed only one kilo at first , bit, sorry, it's possibly too early in the morning for me!!! could you explain?

bookwormer - This type of clue is becoming quite popular. The phrase "at first" means take the initial letters. Thus we get C(riminal) R(emoved) O(nly) O(ne) K(ilo) = CROOK
