I'm unable to get out often these days so out of touch with prices.

A few days ago I was in a Cafe and paying for 2 cups of tea @ £2.40 a cup?

How long has 2 cups of tea cost best part of a fiver!!

Serious question.

Depends what part of the country you are in and the type of establishment.

I paid over £2 for a cup of tea in Norfolk before COVID. In my local greasy spoons it's £1.50. In the tearoom a few doors down from it, it's £2.20

Outside cafe. No heating lighting etc £2.20 paper cup.

Garden Centre £2.75 for very small pot for one person.

Beach hut £1.50 proper nice big cup.
