Take some stuff to the dump. The only bins that are full in our house is the recycling we can easily go a month with our black bin.

Got it right this week, last week we put out general waste bin and it was garden bin week.  Now got a full bin and loads of black bags full.

Just take it to Birmingham and dump it on a street .

No one will notice

They don't recycle much. It's just a myth. There's a recycling centre just round the corner from here and on the wall it shows figures every month of how much waste has been recycled. Last month it was 47%. So where is the other 53%? In landfill, probably. 😊

10cs, "They don't recycle much. It's just a myth." - rubbish. Our council publishes a figure and it's over 60% and has been over 80%. They make a good income on things like cardboard (beige gold), glass, plastic, wood, metal, compost. Some councils are better than others but you can look at the accounts to see. They move heaven and earth to reduce landfill round here.

Rubbish is the word! 😊

Just the figures at the RC. When it first opened, the figures were always in the 90's. Since then, it's dwindled down to the 40's and has never risen.

Ok could be better but hardly "They don't recycle much. It's just a myth".

The figures were from the one centre near me. There is another one further away. I don't know what the figures are for that one.

The top councils are doing over 60%, yours is just over 40% room for improvement for all but there are huge amounts being recycled rather than going to landfill.

You can always spilt the rubbish so it fits in one bin. For the next 2 weeks but half of your rubbish in the bin and put the other half in the next next one.

I didn't miss bin day. I know that a Bank holiday means that week's collection will be a day later.

No problem, just get in the bin and jump up and down. You will retreive 2/3 of the space!

Unless it's empty, then you just get bin juice twixt your toes.

Our bins were emptied yesterday as usual.

Bin collections round here were normal over the Easter weekend.

...and here.

18:18 and here but my body clock was a day out. Tuesday felt like Monday. That's all I'm saying.

Our bins, all of them, are collected on the same day of the week as usual, regardless of bank holidays. I thought everyone's were...
