i bought my son two new playstation games for his birthday last week only to find that lego starwars 2 has a scrath on it now and will load to a point then freeze!!!???? can anyone help me as this game cost �30!!! im going mad!!! many thanks

you can buy a devise to put CDs in and it revives them, polishing out scratches

mattk advised me to use brasso ages ago on a disc that my daughter had skated round the floor on!! It worked a treat, though I did have to rub it on and polish it off a few times. :-))

take it back to the shop, they can't refuse an exchange, even if the game was sealed, you're still entitled to it, however, if you were after a refund you will need the receipt.

my suggestion of brasso does work as long as the scratch isnt too deep.the data level of a cd is underneath a protective coating which can get scratched stopping the disc from being read but the data itself is unharmed.

not quite sure if you are saying that the disc was fine but is now scratched or that it was bought scratched in which case as also suggested get a refund.
