I was born without a left eye (and now have a prosthesis in the socket). I've limited peripheral vision, but the most that means to me is I have to be sure to turn my head a little more than other people.
I've been told I have no depth perception, but the only way that's affected me is that I take a bit more time to absorb visual clues to help me estimate distances. I do this so automatically that I don't even realize it. I think my vision's quite fine, and have no troubles driving a car.
