Does anyone know the closest place to england (East Anglia to be exact) where you can swim with dolphins? A friend recently heard that you can swim with dolphins in Tenerife, does anyone know if this is this true?
I have looked on various 'Dolphin Watch' websites but to no avail.
portugal is your best bet. its at zoomarine nr albufiera. mind you it does cost about 100 pounds. but its quite a good day out, especially the 4d cinema, that was amazing. i should explain that the 100 is to interact with the dolphins.it will still cost about 15 pounds to get into the park per person. but it is worth it.
I worked as a chauffeur until recently. One of my regular jobs was to take a young lad from home to a nearby private school and then pick him up in the afternoon and take him home again. That lad often used to go on swimming trips with the school and he was always excited because they would have dolphins in the water with them (how the other half live!).
I don't know exactly where the children went swimming because they were school trips. However, I wonder if a simple phone call and enquiry to the school might enable you to go to the same place in the UK and swim with those dolphins. It was certainly a regular experience for the children. The school was Ladymead School near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire. I'm afraid that I don't know their number but it will be easy to find.
