If some people could assist, would be appreciated!
I upgraded to the LG KG800 mobile nearer the beginning of the year. It's more commonly known as the "Chocolate". One (sober) Saturday afternoon I dropped it outside a friend's house and found out shortly afterwards when I received a call that the microphone was not working. I have just tried the phone again and this part still doesn't work. As I am sure you'd agree, this is quite an important bit on a telephone, so has anyone come across a shop that'll look at / fix phones whilst you wait?
I don't want to send it off to O2 for fear of them losing the phone. Also, they would probably refuse to repair it under warranty as there are minimal stone chips visible on the silver band where the phone hit the deck.
As much as an old Nokia is simple and bombproof, it would be nice to be able to use this handset again.
Carphone warehouse have repair centres in a lot of towns & cities ... ring your nearest and ask ... probably not while you wait but I would imagine 24/48 hrs based on my experience ... ( you may suffer as its a new phone and they may have to order parts rather than them having them to hand)
