email setup on k800i

Can anyone explain how to set up email on the Sony Ericsson k800i. I've read the relevant instructions but, not being very technologically minded, didn't understand about having to put in settings such as pop3 or wotnot.
Also once setup, does the email allow you to send from the phone to any email address and vice versa?
(Like I said, not very technologically minded; think the technical name for it is 'thick'.)

the best way to do it is to phone your service provider who should be able to help you.
although ive not tried it, ive heard that you can send a mms via email by entering the email address instead of a number !

Once you've set it up you can send and receive emails, even including certain attachments such as photos. Some email accounts don't allow pop3 access such as yahoo (you have to pay a premium) and hotmail. Search on google first or contact your email provider to see if they allow it. If not sign up to your mobile networks email service as this will almost certainly be pop3 compatible. You will be able to get all the settings from their web site. Good luck.
