Recent Documents

I know its in there somewhere, but can I hell as like find it.!
A drop down box which shows all ( about 25) of the most recent Word or Excel documents I have used.
Had a power cut last night, and normally on restoration the File Name (Recovered) document is still available, - not this time!. So I am hoping perhaps it is saved as a (recovered) document in this drop-down box I can not now find in my system
