Does anyone know if the Henry vacuum cleaner is good for laminate flooring? My home is laminated throughout, and I am looking for a new vacuum cleaner. Anyone know of a cleaner that is particularly good for laminate? Thanks.
I would have thought any vacuum cleaner would work well on wooden or laminate flooring - I'd guess it doesnt get much easier than that. I 'd certainly think twice about spending loads of money on upmarket cleaners if the whole floor is laminate. When we've had laminate floors in some of our previous houses a brush and dustpan are at least as effective plus some laminate floor cleaner.
Sebo make a vacuum cleaner called Felix which is excellent for hard floors (actual I think all Sebo cleaner are BRILLIANT). It looks quite retro and comes in several colours but is quite a bit more than a Henry. Henry's are still good though, it will last for ever and doesn't have many parts to go wrong
I love Henry I have just bought a new one the last one we had for 10 years but is now the garage vacuum as hubby used it and clogged it up. I have laminate and it is great.
Definitely a get Henry - my wife used to run her own cleaning business and hated cleaning the houses that had a Dyson - load of s**te she said they were.
I agree with cascarella, any horizontal type vacuum would
do an excelent job, 1300rpm plus, price about 60 new.
no need to spend a lot of money.

Many thanks for replies. With reference to using a soft broom - I do, but then I go round with the vac hoovering up the little piles of dust and dirt. We have a lot of dust and dirt because we keep birds indoors and they make one 'ell of a mess!
The sweeping with the broom is fine and it is great for laminate - it is getting down on one's hands and knees to take up the debris that is a problem for me!
