I love the build up to Christmas at work as I work in a pre school and it's great to get everything ready for the Christmas play. They have lots of things to make for Christmas and it all starts Monday after half term.
We've organised a night out for the christmas lights switch on, they've got the cast of Mamma Mia there and the fireworks are always fantastic.
The the christmas markets open which means lots of lovely nights out with my friends drinking gluwein and eating fresh bratwurst in roll and mini pancakes with cream and chocolate sauce while browsing the stalls.
Looking forward to Christmas dos as well :) Then Christmas shopping buying special things for people and seeing some of my family as I don't tend to see any of my family except my mum apart from at Christmas and it's a good time to catch up with old friends from where I come from.
Hoping to meet my brother's girlfriend as well as not seen him for a couple of years and met her.
as the father of two children aged 3 and 4 i cant bloody wait !!!!!!!!!!
this will be my daughters first knowing christmas and my son is already telling us what he wants from santa!!! but i have already told him that santa cant carry much for him as he will be busy carrying my plasma TV!!!
i love christmas too. but looking forward to it more this year, as for the past 4 years ive been working Xmas day, and this year i can fall asleep after my big lunch AND have a glass of wine without worrying about going into work. Merry Christmas everyone :)
I love the build up to Christmas, may be my imagination or wishful thinking, but people seem friendlier going about their business/shopping when the towns decorations are up.
haha i agree with that sleepyj - the most fun is on xmas day when the whole expense of everything is over and gone for another year!Ive just moved out and can barely afford anything right now cuz ive ran up too many debts on catalogues and credit cards getting all the stuff i need argh!
Then its the hassle of where im spending xmas day grrrr
