Please can anyone help? Have tried and tried but am getting nowhere. Would be very grateful for any help.
No. 3. Man of the House.( 4.7.10)
No. 24. Did Margaret's forefather drive this engine (6.7)
No. 31. Milk, Your Majesty. (5.7.)
I remember seeing a suggestion of Bernard Montgomery for No. 3 but I fail to se the connection.
Any help would be appreciated.

Translating that into a famous person, the best I could come up with was Lord Bernard Montgomery. ( The words fitted the letter pattern 4, 7, 10)
Field Marshal the Viscount Montgomery of Alamein was nicknamed Monty: he might have been known as Lord Montgomery informally, or as Bernard Montgomery by his friends and relations , but he would never have been called Lord Bernard Montgomery.
I would love to see a better suggestion!
