Strange sore throat- what is it?
3 Answers
I've suddenly got this strange sore throat that is not like a normal sore throat, it's more pain on the outside of my throat than inside- I don't think there's any inflammation inside. It is very tender to touch down from collar bone level in the middle of my neck right up to under my chin. It is especially sore at the bottom, by the collar bone and on the Adam's apple. I noticed it when i swallowed some water this morning and it has been getting worse quite quickly. It is only really painful when I touch it but there is a dull pain all the time. If it helps at all, I had a reasonably bad cold a few weeks ago but I don't know if it's related at all. I don't feel ill in any other way and I don't feel that this is bad enough to go to the doctor yet. I have no idea what it is,any suggestions would be great! Thanks!
