Radio 2 Jeremy Vine, this lunchtime
Just caught the last bit of an item about a man who was writing letters to his dead child Charlie (think she was a girl). His name was Reg, does any one have any info or background on this?
Thanks,

They were waiting to cross the line and assumed the red pedestrian lights etc were for the train standing at the station, so started to cross the lines and got 'run down' by another train and sadly, killed. The guy found him self writing letters to his daughter one night as a way of grieving, telling all the things he should have told her, like how he loved her. I think I heard they are being published as a book. If you go to www.bbc.co.uk/radio2 and click on Jeremy Vine you can 'Listen Again' to that part of the show.
And in The Observer - here's the article with a selection of the letters:
