dark photos during transfer from camera to PC
3 Answers
When I view photos on my cameras mini screen they are nice ,bright and clear. Any photos I have downloaded, files etc on my computer screen are nice, bright and clear. The problem is when i transfer photos from my camera to my computer they come out so dark that they can hardly be seen. I have a Fujifilm MX1700 camera and use Adobe photodeluxe to view my pics. This problem has only happened in the last few months. Prior to that I have had no problems and have many pics on the internet which are being downloaded by other people all the time.I have uninstalled and re-installed the Fuji and Adobe files all to no avail. I have been on Fuji and Adobe forums all to no avail.I have'nt added any new programs in the past few months and all I can think of is that Microsoft updates which I have set at Auto may have loaded something that is causing the problem. Please help before i go crazy.

This should allow you to view the pictures in Windows Explorer whilst still on the camera by selecting the drive letter that has been assigned to the camera when you connected it and switched it on.
Find the pics, highlight a couple, right click and choose 'Preview'. Are these looking dark? If so, it's the camera at fault, not the software.
Have you set the exposure compensation at some point?

Using the cable that came with the camera. Push it in and tighten the 2 thumbscrews. It can only go in the one place as the monitor is using the other option and it is colour coded so no mistake there.
View in windows explorer?? If you mean right click MY Computer, select Explore, right click MY Digital CAMERA , the photos are still almost unviewable.
