6 Answers
To Don Quixote and anyone that has done the WSET level 2 in wines and spirits:
boooo :( I bought the distance learning course for 150 pounds so I could take it from home (the classes cost 325 I think, which I cant afford) and now I have received the recommended sampling list and there are 50 samples I should buy which cost hundreds of pounds :(
I want to take this course but cant afford it!!!
But what can I do?

They make most of their money from people looking for quick fix career moves. Why do you need or want this qualification? In my experience a good grounding at work followed later by training, really makes the course worth while. See if it's the job you want to do first. Good luck
I want to do the course though, I just cant afford all the tasting. They have told me that I wont have a practical tasting exam, but that I should try and sample as many as my finances will allow me to stretch. So thats probably 2 bottles then! But if I dont follow the sampling properly, I will feel like I am cheating myself .
