My friend recently got paid - she gets �4 an hour and did 18 hours. She only got �72 and this isn't right as it should of been �76. If she were to say anything about this would it sound rude, if not what should she say? Thanks xx

It's not rude to question an apparent mistake, provided she's polite about it!

She should simply say that she thinks she's been underpaid, that she worked 19 hours and has only been paid for 18, and would they please look into it. That's not rude.

they are really two faced though. like, the most two faced people in the world, they bitch about the customers when they walk away and its pointless. they try to be nice but its not real. are you sure that isnt rude?

How old is your friend and where in the world are you? In UK we have minimum wage which is higher than �4 per hour for over 18s.

apricot,the minimum wage for 18-21 is only �3.80. It isn't until you are 22 or above that it goes up to �4.50 it is a scandal if you ask me

If she is employed, then she should be issued with a wage slip which explains how her wages are arrived at. If she has had money taken off for NI, tax etc then this would be shown. I don't think there would be tax on this amount though. It is perfectly acceptable to query your wage. In a previous existence I spent a significant proportion of my time dealing with wage queries ie errors. Tell her to ask, otherwise what happens next time, and the time after that?
