an average pint of "beer" has 12 grammes of carbs and 167 calories. Obviously different beers and largers have different amounts, I'm pretty certain that there isn't the equivalent of a steak in every pint, but there is a thing about the calories in alcohol being "empty" calories and therefore having no nutritional value and being harder to burn off... not sure if that's true. If you're on Atkins then after the two weeks initial stage you can introduce alcohol and larger isn't too bad, apparently Foster's is relatively low in carbs or if you fancy you can drink Michelob Ultra
