Does anyone know a miracle solution to get chewing gum off my dog's fur, don't ask me how, but she's managed to get covered in it, on her belly, legs and paws.

It's proving a nightmare to get off and the poor little mite doesn't like me tugging away at it.

She's a short haired staffy - Any suggestions or is it time to get the clippers out??????

I've heard raw egg breaks chewing gum down you could try that
Don't know if it works on chewing gum, but margerine works on tar. Massage it in and then wipe it off with a tissue.

You're angels, the three of ya!!!!

She's not too happy with me, but I've finally got it all out!!!

My main weapons were massage oil, margerine and a flea comb! An hour of dog wrestling later and I've a clean hound again! The oil and marge were brilliant, if she'd have stayed still and been a little more co-operative, instead of the wriggling, writhing bundle of numbness she is, I'd have had the job done in ten minutes!

Thanks again to you all for your answers
Dear Mike
I had this problem with a spaniel, kept getting it in his feet.
Buy some Eucalyptus Oil from either a chemist or health shop, it is not that expensive. Put some on a piece of kitchen roll and wipe the area, this really works, it will also help to stop your dog snoring. Do not get it near the eyes or tender parts of the body. The chewing gum comes off easily and you can wash or wipe the area afterwards with a wet one or similar.
Freeze the dog and chip it out...
wash the dog in the washing machine (set to gentle) then dry her in the microwave.............
