Hi Guys
Can anyone tell me why there are twin impeller pumps and single impeller pumps. I mean the pump in my airing cupboard has a inlet and outlet on either side of the pump one side for cold and the other for hot. I'm just wondering why would you have a single pump.

You have almost answered your own question one for hot & one for cold water in a twin impeller & a single one for cold water say for an electric shower that only needs a cold feed but requires a higher pressure than the incoming mains, if it is too low a water presure. Or to boost the hot if the incoming mains is higher then your hot feed pressure
