would anybody lik to recommend (or the opposite) a Spanish lawyer in the Torrevieja area regarding buying property...............also a good bank

Are you sure you want to buy a property there? It has the highest crime rate in Spain.

We live in Torrevieja, and the crime rate is nowhere near as bad as it's made out to be. The best solicitor we know of can be found at:

Oh, and the bank question. CAM is the most wide spread in the area, with totally the most branches. You can bank on-line (in English) and the cash machines have an English option too. Also, you don't have to live here to have an account. Anyone can open one.

But you can only open one in person, and it takes about 4/5 days to get your cash card.
