Whilst I was still seeing my ex- boyfriend I left a large amount of jewellery at his house. He is refusing to send it back to me. In fact he refuses to have any contact with me. He lives 100 miles away so I can't just go round to his house, and even if I did he probably wouldn't let me in. What can I do to get my property back?

Write him a letter asking him to reply by a certain date. If he fails to do so, go see a solicitor (initial consultation is free) and ask them to write a letter to him.

If he still refuses, take it to the small claims court.
