Electric plugs in Goa
Help does anyone know what type of electric plugs are needed for Goa please? We need to use charger for phone camera etc.Have read they use old type three pin but am not sure of size and ampage.Can't live without my trusty kettle I'm afraid.We have a couple of standard worldwide adapters so are the correct pinsize on them.?Thanks a lot.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.India (including Goa) uses a 230V, 50Hz system, which is the same as in the UK. So you won't have to worry about using a voltage adapter; you just need to be able to match your appliances to the correct pin configuration.
Like many developing countries, India has several different plug types in use (often within the same building). The most common type is the same as the old UK '3 pin round' plug. To see the various types, go here:

Hi there, just come back from Goa.
You can buy adapters there for about 40p - every street vendor seems to sell them and the various street markets have more of them than you can shake a stick at!!
Great place to go to is Palolem Beach - tranquility, peace, great food / hospitality and beatiful sunsets!
Lobster Thermadore for under �6!!! A bottle of beer for under 50p!!
