ccCommon??

i recently removed some files from my pc that i wasn't using anymore, then when i turned on my pc again the sound was gone so i tried to find the problem with no success so i restored my pc to 3 days previous but now i keep gettin a box sayin ccCommon not found, i do have my sound back but alot of other problems as well this may be very simple to repair but i just dont know how nay help wud be greatly appreciated.

Do you run Norton Interent Security?

ccCommon is a file that is used by Norton. Along with ccStart I think.

Try removing Norton and re-installing to see if that helps.

i think i mite have removed it, where wud i find it to re-install it?

It sounds like you didn't remove it properly. Did you use add / remove programs in Control Panel or did you just delete the folder from Program Files?

i did it thru the add/remove section, its still givin me jip. im not very good with the technical side of things but at least it still works, thanx for the advice

If not - I suggest that you reinstall it to ensure that you are properly protected from the rest of us ....
