For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Yes - any French bank will (for a handsome fee) transfer money into your Natwest account. You'll need to give the payer your full account number which ought to be at the bottom of your statement (starting GB..... IIRC)
Alternatively and probably cheaper http://www.auctionpix.co.uk/misc/money.html will change euro cheques for you for a modest fee and a cut on the exchange rate.
For small sums cash in the mail is cheapest if slightly risky.

Have a look at your last statement and see if it has your IBAN details printed at the top. If so, you can have money transferred from any European bank into your account by simply quoting the IBAN you want the money paid to. It might cost you a pound or two at the receiving end. Natwest explains it here
(It's for everyone, not just commercial account-holders).
