Weekend visit to Riga

Hi, I'm going to Riga in Latvia for a long weekend with about 8 or 9 friends to celebrate a 21st birthday. I was just wondering if anyone knew of things that we could do during the day and also recommend some things that we could do at night. Also things to avoid would be good and any other tips or suggestions would be appreciated.
The weekend in question is later this month.
