Don't quite know where to post this question, as I will probably have to buy something it will have to be here. Been invited to a fancy dress party, the theme is Pirates! What would a woman wear, I haven't a clue.

How about dressing as a saucy pirate lady - 'principle boy' type stuff with the over the knee boots and all the thigh slapping?! Or maybe a Cabin Boy - think Captain Pugwash - stripey top etc

A friend of mine (female) went to a party dressed as a pirate but had loads of empty wrappers from a certain chocolate bar pinned to her outfit. (Mutiny on the bounty). Her husband was also dressed as a pirate but was carrying a small radio (pirate radio). Naff ideas..but a bit different.

How about going as a slave? wear rags aor cut up an old beige skirt in to a zig zag way and an old hat?

when my daughter went as a pirate she wore

a punk top (stripes, rips, chains - will look great on ure slim figure)
black skirt (with threads and things hanging off)
black stockings/leggings/tights
boots or high shoes
a cutlass
