I hate the Winter/cold weather. I suffer from painful joints and this causes me to feel depressed. Can you suggest any herbal remedy which would make me feel better?

If you can stand the smell/taste, valerian root is out-standing. Brew up 4 cups, don't boil, just steep for a few minutes, put 3 cups of this delightful brown liquid in your hot bath (skip the salts), drink the other cup--it's nasty but do-able. Adding honey & lemon helps.
Then snugle up in your comfy chair with a good romance novel :D

Aches and pains in the winter ....I sympathise .I too hate the cold and damp as I suffer from osteoarthritis and reacurring bouts of rheumatoid arthritis.Whoever says that the weather doesn't affect people with joint pain should be shot !
I have had this now for over twelve years and it's no good being depressed. I was the same when diagnosed with this condition but now fight it head on.Keep warm ,take cod liver oil and Glucosamine .Keep moving.Take advantage of dry days with sunshine to take a bracing walk. Go swimming .Eat a good diet ,drink plenty of water.Have a look here

It's all self help really ..what suits one doesn't suit another but I have found that a positive attitude does help. The long dark nights don't help either and I am always happy when the spring and summer are on the horizon..in the meantime take up a hobby of some sort ...anything to take your mind off the pain and make you feel better in yourself.
