Tank Calculation
4 Answers
Anyone any idea how to calculate the volume of the dish (the tun) at the bottom of a 16 tonne bulk liquid tank? Tank has a diameter of 2.1m and the depth of the tun is 0.29m.

I'm after the equation for the bit that would go under the cylinder, the bowl that would make the bottom of the tank. There are other shapes on that website but they're not right for this application either as they rely on the bowl being a half sphere which this tank isn't.

r1 is 1.05m
h=.29
I make it 0.515 cubic meters but you might want to check my arithmetic
