Head Lump

I have noticed a lump on the top of my head about the size of a marble. Not getting any headaches but it is starting to hurt. Anybody any ideas or can you recommend a website for advice ?

Hi, it sounds like a sebacious [sp] cyst, and maybe it's on it's way to getting infected if it hurts. Go to your GP to be sure, they'll give you anti-biotics for any infection and may reccommend having the cyst removed under a local, I'm having one removed from my shoulder on monday....it doesn't hurt....honest....lol

All lumps should be investigated, even if you think they may be harmless. Don't be a coward - go and see your GP now. He won't bite you! Honestly !

I had a sebacious cyst removed from the front of my head a while ago because it was starting to get infected it doesnt hurt at all like divegirl says its removed under a local and I didnt loose any hair which I was most worried about,your gp should be able to refer you to have it removed.
