8 year old boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone out there got an 8 year old boy? When my 2 were tots, we'd go to play areas and I'd always be wary of them 8 year-old boys.
They would just go nuts and I would worry they would run into the babies.
Anyway, now I have one all of my own and his farting-obsession is driving me to distration, his energy , appetite and metabolism is a wonder to modern science and the noise levels are numbing my brain.

His 7-going-on-17 year old sister just rolls her eyes at me sometimes!
Of course I love him dearly but wondered if anyone else out there is encountering similar experiences?

Do you think there is a problem e.g. Hyperactive,ADD? Or is it just boy stuff? A lot of the time things are done to get a reaction. I have an eight year old who knows what buttons to push, on each member of the family, to get a reaction, just to spice up his life. He winds us up and then watches us go.

yes wee-janine he is fine! He just loves larking on and high jinx with his friends; they are all like this.
He is able to also settle and study well, thanks though ; )

Sounds about right to me. I have a six year old who is building up to where yours is at!

Sounds like a normal 8 year old boy to me.Believe me it's better than seeing them ill and lifeless.I've got a 10 and a 12 year old boy so think yourself lucky you've only got one!
