NH...any doubt now, after reading W~Ms'link?
Sorry for the delay. Part of the time has been spent considering my answer, and, well, part of it has been spent arsing about on Youtube. Usually watching live performances of U2.

Intruigingly, none of you have ever considered the possibility of me being a Muslim.

andak01 on that forum makes a damn good point- nowhere in those Koran quotes is there any talk of rape, although I admit it does talk of about "possessing" women in a way I don't appreciate.

And you never think of the possibility of a Jewish forum having an alterior motive for slating Islam, when insane, dangerous individuals claiming to be Muslims like the President of Iran are denying the Holocaust? Get real.

Also, I find it interesting that this is the quote always brought up by the BNP when the topic of Islam arises. The BNP, of course, notorious for twisting their information beyond the realm of credibility.

Are you living by good Christian values- regarding homosexuality as an "abomination", for example, and therefore dealing with that "abomination"? I think you'll find most holy books have plenty of things for evil, demented extremists to twist.

The other link about the "Verses of Hate" even has the gall to misquote the Koran. Be ignorin' that then.
nothing in gods universe is there to be ignored
dyli

nothing in Gods universe is really there
i think the points made are intersting . But we dont live in those times any more we have evolved has a collective human race and as long as we use antiquated idiologys and laws of organised religions ,Conflicts will continue .
and along with it the neadless deaths of countless inocent lives.
If any thing religion should be a choice and those who force there beliefs on others and condem those that do not have the same belief systems are in the wrong , so in my opinion democracy is the freedom to choose your path aswell as your administrators and that is our basic human right whatever our nationality or race.
but the west shouldnt force the Islamic world in to adopting democracy they should allow the people to choose for themselves.
NH...if you can drag yourself away from youtube for a moment, you would ingore the verses of hate at your peril. I for one expected your answers to come out that way.
the universe is of a size that alows time and space for free will. God is not a tyrant.
George bush classes democracy as 'economic stabillity for the US' and confidence in the stock market thats all!
Isreal is democratic and shoots unarmed women dead in the street as shown on bbc last week!
So we are all as bad as one another. Europe is definately the most civilised place in the world (not including England, which is full of chav kids)
